Microsoft MVP status not renewed...

·119 words·1 min

Confirming that after being a Microsoft MVP since 2016, I have joined the ranks of the MVP Alumni this year.

All active Microsoft MVPs unexpectedly got a “free” renewal last year and in the meantime my community contributions over the last two years have essentially diminished to maintainance mode of the open source projects I’ve created over the last decade or so. It was also hard to make significant contribution to the Microsoft community while working for a competing Kubernetes distribution.

I will miss the sponsored Azure credits and benefits but most of all the people and connections made at the physical MVP Summits. For now… back to my break from corporate life while I research the next project!
